Mattapan carjacking suspect pleads not guilty in deadly crash

Pedestrian Hit Boston Massachusetts in Boston, Massachusetts: Ibraim Matos, a Hyde Park resident, allegedly crashed his own car near Blue Hill Avenue and Woodhaven Street in Mattapan on Saturday afternoon, then fled to a nearby car wash where he carjacked a woman's vehicle. He then drove the wrong way down Blue Hill Avenue toward Mattapan Square, sped along the sidewalk, and struck Mabinty Janneh before crashing into another vehicle. Janneh was pronounced dead at the scene. Community members forcibly removed Matos from the vehicle and restrained him until police arrived. Matos pleaded not guilty to murder, carjacking, leaving the scene, and motor vehicle homicide charges.
