Maine man dies in crash after driving 150 mph through Washington County town
Summary
Car Crash Hancock Washington in Hancock, Washington: Robert Boggia, 40, of Whiting, Maine, died Saturday after crashing a red Corvette in Washington County. Police were called at around 12:26 a.m. after bar customers in Calais reported he had been threatening people with a gun. A Baileyville police officer saw the Corvette traveling more than 150 mph, and a Washington County deputy saw it at around 100 mph on Charlotte Road. A Washington County sheriff following the vehicle found it had crashed and Boggia had been thrown from the vehicle; he died at the scene.
