Hit And Run Washington Washington in Washington, Washington: Three people were arrested following a U.S. Park Police chase that ended in a deadly crash on the William Howard Taft Bridge in Northwest Washington, D.C. Around 5:35 p.m. Saturday, Park Police spotted 24-year-old Tomas Anderson driving a stolen silver 2014 Honda Accord near Rock Creek Parkway and Virginia Avenue NW. As the stolen vehicle traveled southbound across Taft Bridge, Anderson crossed the center line into oncoming traffic and struck a moped head-on, throwing 46-year-old Nolberto Meza of Hyattsville, Maryland, into the road. Anderson continued southbound off the bridge onto Connecticut Avenue NW, then turned onto Kalorama Road NW, where he slammed into an occupied Toyota RAV4 before the stolen vehicle stopped. Meza died at the scene despite lifesaving efforts; the occupants of the RAV4 suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Anderson was charged with second-degree murder; passengers Donnie Palacios (19) and a 16-year-old male were charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle.
