Car Crash North Carolina Today in North Carolina: Joshua Phillip Lewis, 36, was driving a 2008 Ford F-350 Super Duty eastbound on Interstate 540 when the front left tire blew out at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, causing him to overcorrect, sideswipe a Dodge Charger, and veer off the Neuse River Bridge. A 13-year-old front passenger in the truck died at the scene. Lewis was taken to WakeMed's main campus for treatment and was charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle and a citation for unsafe tires. The driver of the Charger was not injured.
