Police found an adult female pedestrian with major injuries; she was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. A preliminary investigation found an adult male was driving a pickup on Brundage Lane when the pedestrian entered the roadway within an unmarked crosswalk, leading to the collision. The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, and impairment and excessive speed did not appear to be factors.
