Aircraft Bowie Maryland in Bowie, Maryland: A single-engine Piper Cherokee crashed in a wooded area near townhomes in the Bowie Forest neighborhood of Bowie, Maryland, at about 11:30 p.m., killing all three young men on board. The wreckage was found at about 3:45 a.m. Sunday after first responders received an iPhone crash notification. The pilot, 26-year-old Yoav Bomrind of Israel, and his passengers, 19-year-old David Rabinovitz of Israel and 20-year-old Elad Naidik of Canada, were headed from Ocean City, New Jersey, to the Montgomery County Air Park in Gaithersburg. The NTSB was on the scene investigating the crash off Scarlet Oak Terrace.
