Deputies found one man suffering from a gunshot wound who was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive, and another man who was pronounced dead at the scene. Law enforcement officials determined that Bristen Banales, 30, of Twentynine Palms, had shot both men and kidnapped the surviving victim. Banales was arrested Friday following a brief search and booked into the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga on suspicion of murder, attempted murder, and kidnapping.
