A blue SUV was traveling northbound on Old Halls Ferry Road when a white sedan attempted to turn off Netherton onto southbound Old Halls Ferry. The driver of the sedan was extricated and rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries, while a passenger in the sedan suffered life-threatening injuries and remains hospitalized in serious condition. The driver of the SUV and four passengers were each taken to hospitals to be treated for minor injuries. The St. Louis County Police Department's Bureau of Crimes Against Persons and Accident Reconstruction units are investigating the crash.
