Woman struck and killed in pedestrian traffic crash
Summary
Semi Truck Crash Monroe Georgia in Monroe, Georgia: A 74-year-old woman was struck and killed by two vehicles Sunday morning at approximately 5:19 a.m. in the City of Monroe. Barbaros Yilmaz, 44, was operating a semi-tractor trailer traveling northbound on I-75 near mile marker 31 when he struck the pedestrian, Norma Jean Howard, who was walking in the roadway. She was then struck a second time by a 2013 Ford Fusion operated by 57-year-old Freddy Perdoma Sanchez. EMS pronounced Howard dead at the scene. The Ohio State Highway Patrol, with assistance from the Warren County Sheriff's Office, Turlecreek Township Fire and EMS, Barrett's Towing, and the Warren County Coroner's Office, is investigating the crash.
