Shooting Holland Kentucky in Holland, Kentucky: On Friday at approximately 12:37 p.m., Bell County Sheriff's deputies responded to a 911 call about a violent domestic disturbance involving a man experiencing a mental health crisis in the 18000 block of FM 2268, east of Holland, Texas. During the encounter, the 53-year-old suspect, Brian Keith Fikac of Holland, displayed what deputies believed to be a firearm, and three deputies discharged their weapons, shooting him. Fikac sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Baylor Scott and White Medical Center, where he remained in custody with bond set at $500,000. One deputy also sustained an injury and was taken to the hospital for evaluation but was later released; none of the deputies were struck by gunfire. The Texas Rangers are leading the investigation, and a rifle was recovered from the scene.
