Kansas man dies in SUV, semi crash

Semi Truck Crash Oakley Kansas in Oakley, Kansas: A 1996 Chevy Tahoe driven by 68‑year‑old Maynard K. Unruh, Oakley, was eastbound on Apache Acre at County Road 430 in Logan County when it collided with a northbound 1989 Peterbilt semi driven by 15‑year‑old Cody D. Smith, also from Oakley, just after 7 p.m. Saturday. The SUV entered the east ditch, rotated and rolled before coming to rest on County Road 430. Unruh was transported by EMS to Logan County Hospital where he was pronounced dead; Smith sustained no injuries. Neither driver was wearing a seat belt, according to Kansas Highway Patrol.
