Connaughton, 65, of Shohola, was driving a 2010 Jeep Grand Cherokee northbound when he entered a curve and crossed into the oncoming lane, colliding with a Honda. Connaughton was pronounced dead at the scene. The 17-year-old female driver of the Honda from Naples, New York, suffered suspected serious injuries and was flown to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, while two passengers — a 45-year-old Lake Ariel man and a 13-year-old boy — were transported to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital with suspected serious injuries.
