Richland woman identified in fatal crash on SR 240 in Richland Friday

Semi Truck Crash Richland Washington in Richland, Washington: A 46-year-old semi driver from Shoreline, Washington, failed to stop at a red light and struck the driver's side of an SUV driven by Teresa Weers, 58, of Richland, at the intersection of Duportail Street and SR 240 in Richland, Washington, just after 8:30 p.m. Friday. Weers died at the scene. Her child passenger was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries. Charges of failing to obey a traffic signal are pending against the semi driver; drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors.
