Ebike Crash San Diego California in San Diego, California: A 23-year-old man riding a Troxus Lynx e-bike sustained critical injuries Friday evening after being struck by a 2024 black Ford Lightning in the Clairemont Mesa East neighborhood of San Diego. Police said the e-bike rider was traveling westbound and made a left turn from the turning lane directly in front of the eastbound Ford, causing the driver to strike the right side of the bicyclist with the front of the vehicle. The bicyclist suffered multiple broken ribs, a collapsed lung, and a stretched vestibular artery. Alcohol or drugs were not determining factors, and SDPD's Traffic Division assumed the investigation.
