The truck was attempting to turn onto a private driveway and entered the e-bike's path; the rider attempted evasive action, causing the e-bike and himself to slide beneath the truck, and both were run over. The e-bike rider, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene. Neither drugs nor alcohol are suspected as factors, and the truck driver, a 44-year-old Waterford Township man, remained on the scene and was cooperating with investigators.
