Ebike Crash Ferndale Michigan in Ferndale, Michigan: A 33-year-old Ferndale man was killed Thursday shortly before 1 p.m. when his e-bike was run over by an Oakland County Road Commission vehicle, a 2021 Ford F750, on a sidewalk along the east side of Woodward Avenue north of College Avenue. The truck was attempting to turn onto a private driveway and entered the e-bike's path; the rider attempted evasive action, causing the e-bike and himself to slide beneath the truck, and both were run over. The e-bike rider, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene. Neither drugs nor alcohol are suspected as factors, and the truck driver, a 44-year-old Waterford Township man, remained on the scene and was cooperating with investigators.
