Nevada State Police identify two drivers killed in crash near Elko

A black Volkswagen Passat traveling southbound struck a white Ford F150 traveling northbound. The driver of the Volkswagen, 28-year-old Andrew Tyler Allen of Spring Creek, was declared dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford, 31-year-old Levi Allen Powers of Spring Creek, was taken to Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital and died later. Elko County Fire crews performed extrication. Nevada State Police are investigating the crash as an open case.
