Elderly driver crashes pickup truck into Nothing Bundt Cake…

A pickup truck driven by a man in his late 70s crashed into the Nothing Bundt Cakes store at 19250 W. Lake Houston Parkway in Atascocita, Texas, at approximately 3:10 p.m. on Tuesday, killing a young female employee on impact and injuring a 52-year-old customer who was hit by debris and partially by the truck. Investigators determined the elderly driver accidentally pressed the gas pedal and accelerated into the building. The driver's wife was a passenger in the truck; the driver showed no signs of intoxication and was detained at the scene. Five other employees in the back of the store were not injured.
